LORMAN, Miss. (Alcorn Athletics) — Alcorn State softball delivered an exciting afternoon of action at the Alcorn Softball Complex on Saturday, earning a walk-off 1-0 win in game one before dropping a hard-fought 8-7 decision in game two against Texas Southern. The Lady Braves (11-28, 6-17 SWAC) battled throughout both contests, highlighted by strong pitching performances and clutch at-bats on a day that celebrated the team’s seniors.

Alainah Felton picked up her first win of the season in the opener, combining with Ta’Niyah Fletcher for a five-hit shutout. Mariah Morgan was the offensive hero, tripling in the seventh and scoring the game-winning run. In game two, the Lady Braves totaled 13 hits and staged multiple comebacks, but Texas Southern capitalized on late miscues to narrowly escape with the win.
