Carter and Caples both had impressive college basketball performances on Friday

Vicksburg natives Layla Carter and Janiah Caples had impressive college basketball  performances on Friday.

In a 96-46 win over Newman University, Cater scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds for Southern Arkansas University.

Pearl River Community College blew out Enterprise State Community College 120-41 where Caples scored 12 points and snagged 11 rebounds while bringing in four assists.

Caples and Carter are both 2023 graduates of Vicksburg High School where they helped the Missy Gators to four consecutive district championships.
