Flashes took a tough loss to Copiah Academy on Thursday

St. Aloysius boys’ basketball took a 66-50 loss to Copiah Academy on Thursday night.
That Flashes started off hot by taking the 15-2 first quarter lead after Korey Sims and Anthony McCloud came away with some tough shots along with Sadler Lambiotte.
Copiah’s Jamarius Grayer stepped up in the second quarter to bring the Colonels back into the game while Carson Gleese kept the Flashes ahead after a 3-pointer that forced them to go into halftime up 26-22.
Coming out of halftime, Jay Bradley woke up for CA along with Trey Wood and Grayson Mood to earn the lead over St. Al. The Flashes would never regain the lead and eventually fell short.
Gleese led with 16 points on the night and Sims contributed 14. McCloud ended the night with 10 points and Carson Henderson put up six while Lambiotte scored four.
Grayer led CA with 24 points and Wood added eight. Hillard also added seven.
Lady Flashes:
The Lady Flashes lost 58-19. Maddy McSherry led St. Al with 10 points and Mallory Hobson added four. Taryn Lusby hit a 3-pointer and Mageigh Haller scored two.
