Gators are ranked in the Top 10

Vicksburg High School boys’ basketball team has made significant progress in the rankings.

With an impressive record of 19-4, the Gators have now been elevated to the No.2 spot in the 6A rankings. In addition, they stand strong as the No.1 team in their district (Region 2-6A), and are also ranked No.8 in the state of
Mississippi.

The VHS team boasts exceptional athletes, with their leading scorer, Davian Williams, averaging over 20 points per game. Recently, the Gators secured a dominating 96-69 victory
against Neshoba Central, thanks to the remarkable performances by seniors Tyler Henderson and Kam Bailey, who both contributed 30 points to the team’s success.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Kelvin Carter, VHS is continuing their pursuit of excellence, as they prepare to host their upcoming game against Ridgeland on Tuesday.
