VICKSBURG, Miss. – Investigators with The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Vicksburg Police Department, along with uniform patrol deputies, as well as K9 assets from both the Sheriff’s Office and the Vicksburg Police Department served a search and arrest warrant for one Korey Kevin Grayer, 34, in an apartment complex on Highway 61 N, just after 8 a.m. this morning.
“This is the end of a several month’s investigation that has led to a significant arrest related to the sale of drugs here in Vicksburg and Warren County,” said Warren County Sheriff, Martin Pace.
The Sheriff told Vicksburg Daily News that they had an arrest warrant for the individual for the sale of methamphetamine, as well as a search warrant for the apartment.
During the search of the premises Investigators discovered:
- Approximately one ounce (1 oz.) of powder cocaine
- Three ounces (3 oz.) of meth
- Over 1400 MDMA tablets (Commonly referred to as Ecstasy)
- Approximately Five and a half pounds (5.5 lbs )of high grade marijuana
- 7 Firearms
- $600 in cash
Of the seven firearms, one had been reported stolen.
Grayer is currently charged with the sale of methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking Ecstasy, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a stolen firearm, and seven counts of possession of a firearm by an individual with a felony conviction.

“The Vicksburg Police Department was also assisting Sheriff’s Investigators in this search warrant. This individual was identified as someone that they (Vicksburg Police Department) were already holding a warrant on for the sale of a controlled substance from an earlier investigation,” said Pace.
The Sheriff’s Office also discovered that Grayer had a Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) warrant for absconding probation.
Grayer is currently in jail without bond and is expected to stand before the Judge, “either tomorrow or Thursday, depending on the court’s schedule,” according to Pace.
“This, I believe, was reflective of excellent cooperation between the police department and sheriff’s department. This particular case was led by Sheriff’s Investigator Jeff Merritt, but Investigator Donnie Higgins with the Vicksburg Police Department was also partnered with him,” said the Sheriff, “This case was effecting both city and county residents. This is a significant dent in the availability of the above mentioned narcotics for this community.”
