Jackie Annette Clark (Goings), 50, of Grenada, Mississippi, unexpectedly left us on August 19, 2026. She was born December 16, 1975, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Sharon Annette Goings (Leach) and Newton Arnold Goings.

If you knew Jackie, you knew there was never much guessing what was on her mind. She was funny, feisty, stubborn, outspoken, and had one of the biggest hearts. She could strike up a conversation with just about anyone and keep it going for hours, and with a voice and laugh that carried, you usually knew when Jackie was in the room. She loved to joke, pick at people, and somehow always managed to find something to laugh about, even when life wasn’t giving anyone much to laugh about.

Jackie spent most of her life doing what mattered most to her—raising her family. She was a stay-at-home mom for much of her children’s lives and later became “Nana,” a title she wore proudly. The family she built was her greatest accomplishment. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, whether that meant checking on them, worrying about them, fussing at them, feeding them, or spoiling the grandbabies just because she could. A hug from Jackie usually came with a kiss on the cheek, and a phone call almost always ended with, “I love you, and give the babies a kiss for me.”

She married Phillip “Butch” Clark on October 17, 2015, and the two shared a life full of love, laughter, and plenty of picking at one another. Butch could always get a reaction out of her, and anyone who spent much time around the two of them probably heard Jackie throw out an “Ugh, Clark!” followed by that unmistakable laugh more than once.

Jackie enjoyed fishing, and she wasn’t particular about where—as long as she could put a line in the water, she was happy. She loved all kinds of music, being with her family, and spending time on TikTok Live, where she made many genuine friendships with people she could sit and talk to for hours. And Jackie didn’t go many places without one of her green BC Powders close by.

Some of the best memories of Jackie are found in the ordinary things that now mean so much more. Her family will always remember her tomato gravy and homemade dressing, especially around Thanksgiving, when everyone tried their hardest to make the trip home and be together despite the miles between them. She didn’t need anything extravagant to be happy. Give her family to love, grandbabies to spoil, somebody to talk to, something to laugh about, or somewhere to fish, and Jackie was content.

Jackie leaves behind her husband, Phillip “Butch” Clark; her five children, Kimberly (Dylan) Perot, Tiffani (Raymond) Brown, Zachary (Cyrena) Rymer, Samantha (Kodi) Britt, and Brooke (Kaleb) Wilson; and the 16 people who knew her as Nana: Brayden, Mattie, Gunner, Kinleigh, Kaylee, Paisley, Dakota, Emily, Aubrey, Bubba “Raymond”, Lane, Jude, Charlie, Kamren, BB “Amelia”, and Amethyst. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Shelby Goings, Stevie “Eli” Goings, Marlee Goings, Madison Goings, and Christin (Josh) Carson; and her great-nieces and great-nephew, Oaklyn, Alana, and Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sharon Annette Goings (Leach) and Newton Arnold Goings, and her only brother, Timothy Steve Goings. Jackie took each of their losses incredibly hard because that was simply how she loved—deeply. There is comfort in knowing that the people she missed for so long are no longer people she has to miss.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Mississippi, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Brother Bill Talbert. Graveside services will immediately follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery in Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Rymer, Raymond Brown, Kodi Britt, John Gardner, Kaleb Wilson, and Eli Goings. Dylan Perot and Phillip Clark Sr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.

There are so many things we will miss about her that it’s impossible to put all of them into words. We’ll miss that loud voice and even louder laugh, her hugs and kisses on the cheek, the way she could talk your ear off, her stubborn streak, and the way she could make us laugh when we needed it most. Jackie wasn’t perfect, and she never pretended to be. She could be hardheaded, she could tell you exactly what she thought, and she could fuss with the best of them—but behind it all was a woman who always meant well and loved her family with everything she had.

Life is going to be a lot quieter without her.

And no matter how much time passes, we’ll always be able to hear her ending the conversation the same way she did so many times before:

“I love you, and give the babies a kiss for me.”
