Margie H. Delaney 1938-2026
Margie H. Delaney of Vicksburg passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 88. A lifelong resident of Issaquena County, she is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held.

Margie H. Delaney passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was born in New Hebron, MS on June 16, 1938, to Jim Honea and Mildred Sherman Honea.
Margie lived in Issaquena County her whole life. She went to school in Cary, MS. She was a farmer and enjoyed working in her yard.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leon Delaney; parents, Jim Honea and Mildred Sherman Honea; son Mike Delaney; brothers, Robert Honea and Sonny Honea.
She is survived by her son, Charles Stan Delaney (Debbie); daughter, Kim Kerley (Ace); brother, Vic Dickerson (Carol) of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Dillon Delaney, Whitney McCaskill (Mathew) and Cole Delaney (Bonnie); and great-grandchildren, Hattie Delaney and one on the way, Piper Lynn McCaskill; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Delaney; nephew, Steve Fortner; and sister-in-law, Erline Fortner;
A private family graveside service will be held for the family at County Line Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to any local animal shelters.
