VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Mayoral candidate Willis Thompson is launching a Community Listening Tour aimed at engaging directly with Vicksburg residents. The initiative, titled “Straight Talk with Willis,” will bring Thompson into neighborhoods and key community spaces to hear concerns, answer questions, and discuss solutions for the city’s future.

Mayoral candidate Willis Thompson is hitting the road and heading straight to the people with the launch of his Community Listening Tour: Straight Talk with Willis. This initiative will take Thompson directly into neighborhoods and key community spaces across Vicksburg to listen to residents’ concerns, answer questions, and discuss solutions for the city’s future.

“This campaign is about the people of Vicksburg,” said Thompson. “I want to hear directly from residents about the challenges they face, the changes they want to see, and their vision for our city. Real leadership starts with listening.”

Through this tour, Thompson will host small, meaningful discussions where residents can speak openly about their concerns regarding public safety, youth development, infrastructure, beautification, business opportunities, and more.
