Multiple members of the PG girls’ basketball team received honors

Several members of the Port Gibson High School basketball team were recently awarded All-District honors.

The Blue Waves emerged victorious against South Pike last Friday, securing the title of District Champions, boasting an impressive
overall record of 15-7 (5-1 in district). Lorenzo Thomas, the coach of PG, was recognized as the District Coach of the Year, leading the team to their remarkable achievements. Ger’Kiya Flowers also was recognized as the District Player of the Year.
