PCA defeated River Oaks on Monday night

Porter’s Chapel Academy basketball teams both grabbed a win over River Oaks Academy on Monday night.

Lady Eagles:

The Lady Eagles remain undefeated(8-0) as they pulled off a 56-49 win against River Oaks. The game belonged Jae’la Smith as she scored 42 points while grabbing seven steals and 11 rebounds. Marley Bufkin added six points and Lauren Madison finished with four points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Boys:

Jase Jung helped the boys (8-2) secure a 52-46 victory as he put 17 points and 10 rebounds. Ty Mack snatched 12 rebounds to go with his 12 points while Taylor LaBarre finished with three steals and eight points. Noah Porter had a team-high of 13 rebounds and nine points while Gavin White added six points.

The Eagles will host Hillcrest Academy on Tuesday night, beginning with JV boys at 5 p.m.
