Port Gibson are the regular season district champions

Port Gibson High School’s girls’ basketball team is now the reigning regular season district champions.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Lorenzo Thomas, the Blue Waves concluded their regular season with a commendable 14-7 record and an impressive 7-1 performance in district play. However, they faced their first district loss on Friday in a closely contested match against South Pike, finishing with a score of 37-35. Amiyah Hedrick and Ger’Kiya Flowers led the team by each scoring 15 points, while Rekiyah Washington contributed five
points to the game.
