I decided it was time to treat myself. I went to Rusty’s, because they never miss. Their food is always phenomenal, and they have so many good seafood options. Plus, I was craving red fish, and you can’t beat Rusty’s.

Much to my surprise, they had Barq’s root beer in a glass bottle! It was what the youth would call, “bussin.”

My parents and I arrive at Rusty’s, and I already know that I want the fried green tomatoes. I LOVE fried green tomatoes, and the hollandaise sauce there is delicious.

My dad was literally scraping it off the plate with a spoon and eating it like soup. It was a little disturbing, but I understood.

I ordered the Hawaiian chicken sandwich and the soy/ginger combo with the grilled pineapple had me feeling like Dora the explorer, “MMMM DELICIOSO!” The fries were very fresh and crispy too. Really enjoyed that.

My mom had the fried shrimp with cocktail sauce, and she said the cocktail sauce was as good as God’s grace. I tasted it, and the shrimp were good, but that cocktail sauce did steal the show.

My dad was basic and he got a cheeseburger. The burger was good, don’t get me wrong, but why go to Rusty’s for a cheeseburger? It’s like going into a fine dining restaurant and ordering chicken strips. The burger was hot, fresh and the cheese was melted on to the patty the way I melt into a lawn chair in this heat. It was juicy and full of flavor.

Rusty's restaurant reviewAll in all, we were very impressed. Thank you for the good food and great experience, Rusty’s!
