Tickets on Sale for Southern Heritage Air Foundation’s November 26 Veterans “Thanks”giving Lunch

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Tickets are now available for the Southern Heritage Air Foundation’s (SHAF) annual “Thanks”giving Veteran’s lunch to be held November 26 at the Vicksburg-Tallulah Regional Airport in Mound, Louisiana. The SHAF has partnered with the Radio People of Vicksburg and The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation to bring gift cards to go towards the purchase of a turkey or ham for Veterans for Thanksgiving.  

While this event is geared toward providing veterans a Thanksgiving dinner, the public is welcome. Reservations are required for everyone planning to attend, include veterans. Seating is limited. Online reservations will be available through November 19, 2024. Click here to make a reservation.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and includes a tour of the museum, featuring over 110 exhibits with expanded educational elements throughout. Meal tickets are available for “fly-in or drive-in,” with to-go options available.

To show their gratitude, veteran’s lunches are complimentary. 

“Breaking bread with local heroes is a great way to tell them you are grateful for their service. If you are a veteran or someone currently serving, this is a great time for fellowship with other Veterans and Servicemen,” said the Southern Heritage Air Foundation in a press release.

“Thanks”giving Veteran’s lunch Ticket Options:

• The “HERO” Ticket – One “Thank you from a grateful nation” complimentary lunch for a Veteran or Serviceman. $0 – Please still click the ticket link and reserve a seat.
• The “GRATEFUL AMERICAN” – One lunch ticket for a civilian. $15 when purchased early online/$20 at the door
• The “PAY IT FORWARD” – a donation that covers the cost of a Veteran’s lunch ensuring we can continue to provide complimentary lunches for America’s heroes. $15
• The “LIBERTY SPONSOR” – includes a table for 6, covers the cost of lunch for 6 Veterans/Servicemen, and a donation to our Educational Programs. $250
• The “PATRIOT SPONSOR” – includes two tables of 6, covers the cost of lunch for 12 Veterans, sponsors the Missing Man Table (in memory of a Veteran of the sponsor’s choice, and a donation to our Educational Programs. $500

LUNCH MENU (Catered by Gumbo Pot): Thanksgiving dinner of Turkey, Ham, Dressing, Sweet Potato Casserole, Corn, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Rolls, and desserts by the SHAF volunteers.
