VHS Defeated Neshoba Central on Thursday Night

Vicksburg, Miss.-Vicksburg High School girls’ basketball will play for a district championship after defeating Neshoba Central 53-46 on Thursday night. The win helped the Missy Gators stay alive in the district tournament where they have now beat Neshoba Central and Warren Central.

Zion Harvey led the way with 16 points and seven steals. Jada Erwin had a game-high of 12 points and three rebounds while Cynia Johnson finished with a double-double as she brought in 11 points and 11 rebounds. Ny’Keria Watson, Jordan Grace, Zion Knox and Raylyn Parson all scored three points and Aaliyah Mims scored two points.

The Missy Gators will face Callaway in the District Championship which will be held on Friday at Neshoba Central.
