VHS freshmen basketball team defeated Ridgeland on Thursday

Vicksburg High School ninth grade basketball teams defeated Ridgeland on Thursday night.

Missy Gators:

The Missy Gators secured a 45-27 win as Kennedi Williams and Smiley Jeffers both led with 10 points. Raylyn Parson added nine points while Kenley Henderson scored six points and Khiya Willis put up five. Naykeria Watson contributed three points and Cedrionna Blackmore hit a free throw.

Boys:

The Gators crushed the Titans 49-18 where W. Curry led VHS with 11 points. Nick Carson scored 10 points and Jordan Clay added nine. Marlyn Foy contributed seven points while Banks and Marshall scored four and Brycen Jones finished with two.

VHS will travel to Brandon on Monday.
