Vicksburg Young Professionals July 24

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Vicksburg Young Professionals will meet at MCity, 1622 Washington Street, on July 24, at 5:30 p.m. for the final discussion of their 2024 YP Leadership Book, “5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace.”

This month’s discussion will center around the language of “Personal Touch.” Led by Michelle Fisackerly, history teacher and coach, with the Vicksburg Warren School District. She will share her own experiences and provide valuable insights.

From the website Appreciation at Work: “We have found that implicit types of touch are the most common form of showing appreciation physically in the workplace because they usually are an expression of spontaneous celebration  — finishing a project, completing a sale, or successfully fixing a problem – are all used frequently in work-oriented relationships.”

Previous discussions have explored words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, and tangible gifts.

The Vicksburg Young Professional Group caters to leaders aged 20-40 in the Vicksburg-Warren County area, fostering their skills and enthusiasm. Members are encouraged to take active roles in advancing Vicksburg as a progressive community.

Admission is free for members and $15 for nonmembers. You can register for the workshop here. Find out more on the Vicksburg-Warren Partnership website.
