Vikings made a comeback to defeat Ruleville 64-50 on Monday

Warren Central High School boys’ basketball team took out Ruleville (Thomas Edwards) 64-50 on Monday in the River City Classic.
“Today was a good sign and it feels good to be on the winning side,” WC Head Coach Keith Williams said.
A tough first half left the Vikings trailing 31-29 as they decided to make a change on defense. The Vikings came out out in a full press and only allowed eight points in the third quarter while Gaylon Turner continued to dominate and Jaylon Winters stepped up with a couple of buckets.
By the fourth quarter WC had the lead as Garrett Orgas-Fisher leaped up for a big dunk and they quickly went up by double digits.
Turner led the team with 29 points on the night in the big win.
“I’m feeling good especially since we got everyone back and the chemistry is there and our practice yesterday definitely helped how we played today,” Turner said.
Fisher and Anaias Thompson both finished with eight points and Winters added six. Jonathan Henderson scored four points while Ronnie Blossom, Roosevelt Harris and Robert Williams all put up two points and Larry Reynolds hit a free throw.
The Vikings will travel to Jim Hill on December 28.
