The Warren Central High School boys’
soccer team showcased an outstanding second-half performance, propelling them to a 3-0 victory over Neshoba Central and securing their spot in the North State competition.

In a tightly contested first half, both teams struggled to find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 tie. However, after regrouping during
halftime, the Vikings emerged with renewed energy. Jonah Artman displayed his remarkable talent by scoring two impeccable goals, while Jacob Porter added another to the
scoreboard. Remarkably, goalkeeper Colby Solomon also played a pivotal role in maintaining the shutout, making two crucial saves.

“I felt like that the win was so deserving and that we showed what we can do,” Artman said. Colby and our whole defense had a great game having another shutout, and I felt that our midfield pressured them well and worked the ball well with our attackers. We played like a winning team and we understood that we’ve  done something that hasn’t been done in a long time.”

Under the astute leadership of Head Coach Greg Head, the team boasts an impressive 16-4-1.The Vikings will eagerly anticipate their next match scheduled for Tuesday.
