Doiron also spent seven years as the Executive Director at the YMCA in Greenville, Mississippi before moving to Ocean Springs, Mississippi in that same position.

At Ocean Springs, Doiron decided to take the after-school kids that have never been on a boat before, tubing on Fridays.

In October of 2015 , Doiron was named the Executive Director of the Vicksburg YMCA. Since moving back home, Doiron has led the YMCA through the COVID-19 pandemic along with creating various new programs including taking teens to the Christian Values Conference in North Carolina, allowing them to volunteer and connect with other teens. He has also overseen a $5.8 million expansion to the YMCA.

“I consider myself lucky to work under Phillip’s leadership,” YMCA Employee Lauren Coulon said. “He is truly committed to the YMCA and its mission. He loves his community and is always looking for ways to help others. His impact on the YMCA and its members is invaluable.”
