Jackson man convicted of first degree murder

A man has been found guilty of first degree murder in Hinds County.

T’Quarius Jones was convicted of murder for his role in the 2018 death of Justin Harper. Jones’ mother was on the murder scene that day and told the Jackson Police Department that T’Quarius shot Harper.

Harper’s body was found on a porch on Cameron Street where it was later revealed that he was shot 17 times. The murder weapon was recovered at the scene and further investigation revealed that the two were arguing over food.
