PCA falls 58-32 to Humphreys Academy

Porter’s Chapel Academy lost 58-32 to Humphreys Academy, dropping their record to 1-4. Lakelan Pecanty scored three touchdowns, but PCA struggled against a strong first half from Humphreys. They will host Riverdale Academy next Friday.

Porter’s Chapel Academy suffered a 58-32 loss to Humphreys Academy on Friday night, dropping the Eagles to 1-4 on the season as they continue to search for their second win.

Humphreys Academy wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, finding the end zone on its first play from scrimmage. HA continued to build its lead throughout the first half and took a 52-8 advantage into halftime.

PCA’s Lakelan Pecanty provided a spark just before halftime when he broke free for a 35-yard touchdown run.

Pecanty continued to make big plays after halftime, scoring two more touchdowns on runs of 49 and 70 yards. He finished the night with 158 rushing yards and three touchdowns, accounting for 154 yards on his three touchdown runs alone.

Myles Randle also found the end zone for the Eagles with a 48-yard touchdown run. Randle finished with 60 rushing yards.

PCA will look to bounce back when it hosts Riverdale Academy next Friday.
