The store located at 1998 Highway 49 in Florence is the self proclaimed largest pet store in the Magnolia State and offered a variety of fish, reptiles, small animals, birds and other exotic animals.

According to reports, the back of the store caught fire and the blaze made it to the fish room before being extinguished. The store’s resident monkey, Hollywood, is scared but fine. The only animal casualties were four prairie dogs.

The owners and staff are working to move the animals to safe and secure location.
