Blood donors to receive free t-shirt this week

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is issuing an urgent appeal for blood donors to help support patients across Mississippi. From Monday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 9, donors at the Flowood and Oxford centers will receive a Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt and car magnet, while supplies last.

Held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, MBS’s “Donate for Hope” Donor Appreciation Week highlights the difference blood donors make for patients and their families. The community is encouraged to make time to donate and help ensure blood is available when patients need it.

Appointments can be scheduled online at msblood.com or by calling 601-368-2673. Walk-ins are welcome.
Donors should bring a photo ID, eat a healthy meal, and stay hydrated before donating.
