Blake Caruthers receives his first baseball scholarship offer

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Blake Caruthers, a Warren Central High School baseball player, received his first athletic scholarship. Caruthers announced over social media that his first offer came from Hinds Community College.

Caruthers is a junior athlete at WC who helped the Vikings to a 20-11 record under head coach Randy Broome last season. WC also won their third consecutive district title with the help of Caruthers and advanced to the North State Championship game.

Caruthers made the All-County Team last year as he finished the season with 21 hits and 18 RBIs.

At this time, Caruthers has not committed to any college.
