VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A bond reduction was granted to a Vicksburg man charged with Sexual Battery of a Child under the age of 14 on Thursday morning. Christopher Carter’s bond was reduced from $250,000 to $100,000. Carter has been in the Warren County jail since his arrest in 2023.

Carter is being represented by defense attorney Eugene Perrier who mentioned that he’s been on good behavior since being housed in the County Jail. He also stated that Carter is a trustee inside the County Jail.

Carter has been charged with multiple counts of Sexual Battery of a Child under the age of 14, and is set to go on trial in June. If he posts bail before trial, Carter will have to wear an ankle monitor and have no contact with the victim.
