Charles William Johnson, 1938-2023

Charles Williamson Johnson passed away surrounded by loved ones after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He was 85 years old. He was a member of the Bovina Baptist Church. He was owner and agent of Vicksburg Insurance Center for 30+ years. He was an avid football watcher. He coached YMCA football. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel T. Johnson and Emily Frances Williamson Johnson; son, Richard Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Johnson; daughters, Jennifer Aultman (Roger), Susan Faulk (John); sister, Margaret Blackledge; grandchildren, Phillip Johnson (Kaylin), Mitchell Johnson; Nick Aultman, Zack Aultman, Taylor Powers (Tyla), Emily Powers (Austin); four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers Nick Aultman, Zack Aultman, Phillip Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Taylor Powers and John Faulk.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Burch officiating the service. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
