Dr. Debbie Smith’s retirement parade – photos and video
Merit Health River Region hosted the retirement parade for Dr. Debbie Smith.
After 43 years Dr. Smith announced her retirement earlier this month. Her co-workers at the hospital under new CEO David Fox, organized a going away parade and celebration at the hospital. Dozens of people were there on foot to cheer for Dr. Smith.
In addition to that, a parade of vehicles full of families that Dr. Smith treated over the years was on hand. Many tears of thanks, gratitude and sadness were shed. A reception in her honor is being held at the time of this writing.
