Gators took down Callaway in the semifinals of the district tournament

The Vicksburg High School boys’ basketball team achieved a tremendous victory against Callaway during the semifinals of the district tournament on Wednesday night, securing a 68-57 win. This remarkable triumph propels the Gators to compete in the district championship game scheduled for Friday night.

In typical fashion, Tyler Henderson delivered an outstanding performance, displaying his dominance all over the court and contributing 18 crucial points throughout the game. Following closely behind, Davian Williams
showcased his skills with an impressive 17 points. Kam Bailey also made a noteworthy impact by scoring an impressive double-digit figure of 12 points, while Jaylin Jackson
demonstrated his capabilities with eight points. Notably, Mikey Johnson tallied six points, Kealon Bass contributed five, and Lazaveon
Sylvester secured two points in the team’s triumph.

The Gators, currently holding a commendable record of 21-5, have now emerged victorious against the Chargers in three separate encounters this season. Their next challenge
awaits in the form of the winner between Ridgeland and Columbus in the highly anticipated clash for the district title on Friday.
