WCSO CRIME ARREST

A jailer was stabbed by an inmate in the Warren County Jail on Tuesday.

59-year-old Jeffrey Morrison stabbed a Correctional Officer with a broken mop handle in the groin area. The Officer was treated, examined and released after receiving minor injuries, which included bruising.

Tuesday’s incident was not Morrison’s first time assaulting an Officer. In September, he was charged with Assaulting an Officer.

Morrison is being housed in the Warren County Jail for a 2022 aggravated assault charge. He now has that aggravated assault charge along with two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. His bond is $260,000 and a trial date has been set for his first original charge.
