Jefferson County’s Vance Williams won the MVP Award in the Future Elite Game

Jefferson County Middle School football player Vance Williams was named Most Valuable Player at the Magnolia Sports Association Future Elite Eighth Grade All-Star Game. Williams played for Team Black where they came out with a 28-20 win over Team Gold.

In the inaugural All-Star Game, Williams made multiple plays, including a 68-yard touchdown at the end of the game. 

Leading Team Black was Jefferson County Middle School Head Football Coach Stacy Murphy who recently wrapped up an undefeated season with the Tigers. Jefferson County had five athletes play in the game which were Jaheim Day, Justice Oliver, Khari Omolara Jr., Amare Robinson, and Vance Williams.

Area Spotlight:

The Team Black staff consisted of Head Coach Stacy Murphy, Carl Gordon Jr(Natchez), Jadice Moore(defensive coordinator), and Tyler Doss(linebackers).

Port Gibson Middle School football player Joheravious Norrell also played in the game.

The city of Vicksburg also had five athletes to play in the prestigious game. Vicksburg Junior High School’s Daylen Atkins, Ashlon Brown, Rodney Allen, and Rico Thomas all saw action in the game. Thomas caught a 10-yard touchdown.

Warren Central Junior High’s Cameron Zellous also played for Team Black.

The game was played at East Central Community College. The Magnolia Sports Association All-Star Weekend will also consist of the MSA Super Sophomore Game and the MSA Senior Bowl which will all be held at East Central Community College.
