A Celebration of Life will be held for Lonnie Johnson Maniel on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at C J Williams Mortuary Center, 1625 Monroe Street, Vicksburg, Mississippi.

 Visitation will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Center on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM.

Mr. Lonnie Johnson Maniel was born to the late Dorothy Jones on November 2, 1950.

He was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Shirley Jean Lloyd; mother, Dorothy Mae Jones; grandmother, Josephine Brown (Big); sisters, Barbara Jean Maniel (Tootsie), Letha Ann Maniel; and one brother, Charles Maniel. 

 On February 25, 2024, Mr. Maniel left his earthly home to go to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

 He leaves behind to cherish; his brother, Eddie James Maniel of Vicksburg, Mississippi; aunt, Molly Howard; nine children, Geraldine (Robert) Kent, Dorothy (Richard) Cooper, Lamar Lloyd of Alabama, Letha Lloyd (Asinia), Ive (Tommy) Huntley, Lonnie Lloyd (Sheniqua), Rina (Fredrick) Mitchell, Patrick Lloyd of Irving, Texas, and Justin Lloyd (Alicia) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; grandchildren, Erica and Nyeshia Cooper, La’Quita Lloyd, Chasitie Kent, Tabitha and Eric Jackson, Sha’Qulya Lloyd, Antonio and LaTonio Brown, Tommiecene, Tommy III, Treveon, and Tyrese Huntley, Reno, and TaLarry Woods, Reginald Lloyd and Fredrick Valentine, Jr., Kayla Lewis of Texas, Lamar Lloyd, Jr. (Lil Fella), LonDarrius Ragsdale, Malaysia, Lonnie, Jr., and Alayah Lloyd, all from Vicksburg, Mississippi. He also leaves to cherish his memories: twenty-one great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 Lonnie’s life and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
