“Starting early really helped and that allowed me to become better every year and baseball has been a part of my life since I was five years old,” said Massey.

During his sophomore year, Massey maintained a .386 batting average under former Head Coach Paul Ashley. PCA advanced to the semifinals, creating a special bond among the team members.

“We really clicked that year; winning all those games felt amazing, and I cherished every moment of it,” Massey reminisced. With time, Massey’s prowess on the baseball field continued to evolve. Just before his senior year, he stood out among his peers, earning the title of NABF Tournament MVP in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Coincidentally, Massey’s travel ball coach, Rob Riggins, assumed the role of PCA’s Head Coach during the same period.

Currently in his final season at PCA, Massey leads Warren County with four home runs and 26 RBIs and maintains a .391 batting average. The Eagles hold a 15-6 record as they prepare to face Franklin Academy tonight. Despite receiving interest from schools like Co-Lin and Southwest Mississippi CC, Massey opted to showcase his skills at Coahoma CC.
