Mayor Flaggs announced that he will not be supporting a new proposed change of city-government

Mayor George Flaggs Jr. announced that he would not be supporting a new change of government within the city of Vicksburg. Currently, Vicksburg operates under a mayor and two aldermen.

Less than a week ago, a proposal was made to switch to a Council-Manager Form of government which includes a Mayor and five Councilmen.

Mayor Flaggs announced his opposition on Saturday in the statement below:
