Ocie Brown III selected for MSA Junior High All-Star Classic

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Ocie Brown III, a Port Gibson native, has been selected to play in the Magnolia Sports Association All-Star Junior High Classic. The roster was officially released last week and features Brown, a standout eighth grader at Port Gibson Middle School.

Brown delivered an All-Star-caliber season, averaging 24.6 points per game at PGMS. After the junior high season, he was moved up to the varsity team late in the year, where he averaged double figures for the Blue Waves.

In addition to basketball, Brown starred at quarterback for PGMS in the fall, leading his team to a championship appearance. He was also named Offensive MVP in the MSA All-Star football game.

The MSA Junior High Classic will be held April 11 at East Central Community College at 12 p.m.
