One Arrested After Domestic Felony Man-Hunt

Man-hunt Leads to Arrest of Suspect Alleged of Shooting Into Ex-Girlfriends Residence

VICKSBURG, Miss. – A man-hunt this morning led to the arrest in part by both the Warren County Sheriffs Office and the Vicksburg Police. The Vicksburg Police Department attempted to serve a Felony Domestic warrant to an individual on Drusilla Lane today when the suspect took off on foot in the woods behind the residence. The suspect was accused of shooting into his ex-girlfriends residence.

After the suspect fled, the Vicksburg Police began a search in the surrounding area. The search included the wooded area behind the residence as well as the surrounding neighborhoods. The search included both marked and unmarked patrol vehicles. The Warren County Sheriffs’s Office was brought in to assist with the man-hunt.

Just after 12 p.m., the suspect was apprehended in an apartment at the Azalea Trace Apartments, just outside the city limits. Since it was outside the city limits, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office came into assist with the arrest.

The suspect is now in custody.
