Porter’s Chapel Academy secured their first victory of the season with a convincing 14-4 win against Clinton Christian Academy, thanks to a strong fourth inning performance.

Although the Warriors initially took a 2-0 lead, the Eagles quickly countered in the second inning with a sacrifice from Brayden King and an RBI from Chase Hearn, resulting in a tied score of 2-2. The momentum swung in PCA’s favor in the fourth inning, with RBls from Conley Johnston, King, John Wyatt Massey, and Taylor LaBarre, giving them a comfortable 10-4 lead. Late RBls from Evan Gordon and Gavin White further solidified the Eagles’ win.

Pitcher Chase Hearn showcased his skills and endurance by pitching all six innings, striking out nine opponents and conceding only two hits. Gordon and King both contributed with hits for the Eagles (1-1).

Next, PCA will host Cathedral on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
