Port Gibson girls’ basketball team defeated Jefferson County on Tuesday

The Port Gibson High School girls’ basketball team is now on a six-game winning streak after a victory over Jefferson County, with a final score of 56-37.

Ger’Kiya Flowers emerged as a key player for the Blue Waves, leading the team with an impressive 18 points. Amiyah Hedrick also showcased her skills by sinking four 3-pointers,
contributing a total of 16 points throughout the game. Camara Evans made a notable impact with 10 points, while Kennaja Goods added five points to the scoreboard. Rekiyah Washington scored three points, and both Kennedy Davis and Kanaja Murray managed to secure two points each.

Next on the agenda, the PG team will hit the road to face Wesson on Tuesday.
