Senatobia Man Arrested For Child Molestation/Fondling
On Tuesday, December 5, the Senatobia Police Department opened an investigation into a complaint received of a possible sexual assault of a child victim.
The investigation was aided by assistance from the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services, Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center, and LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
Investigators conducted interviews and gathered physical evidence to assist in determining the validity of the complaint.
On Thursday, December 7, investigators felt that enough probable cause had been gathered to sign affidavits against 20-year-old Jaylin Wooten of Senatobia for the charge of Touching, Handling, etc. of a child.
An arrest warrant was issued based on the probable cause and on Friday, December 8, Wooten was arrested and booked on the charge.
His bond has been set at $125,000 and he is being held at the Tate County Jail.
This is an ongoing investigation and further charges are a possibility.
