Two arrested in Alcorn Drive shooting

At 2:04 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, officers were dispatched to the scene of a shooting in the 100 block of Alcorn Drive. The 17-year-old victim was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment. He is reported to be in stable condition at this time.

Zaylen Lane, 18, and Alonzo Curtis III, 17, both of Vicksburg were arrested on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, on charges of Aggravated Assault.

Appearing before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, March 7, 2024, both Curtis and Lane were bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on bonds of $650,000.
