Two vehicle collision on Hwy 27 at Warriors Trail

Two vehicles have collided on Hwy 27 at Warriors Trail, injuring one and closing the roadway while first responders work the accident scene.

Just before 2 p.m. a larger silver SUV made contact with a smaller silver SUV at the intersection of Hwy 27 and Warriors Trail. The driver of the larger SUV is being transported to an area hospital while the driver of the smaller SUV was treated at the scene and refused transport.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol took control of the accident scene and was assisted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and the Warren County Fire Service from Culkin Station. Rescue was also on the scene.

The roadway was closed for over 40 minutes to allow the first responders and tow truck operators a safe working environment. The roadway has reopened.
