Vicksburg sweeps Lanier in three straight sets

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg High School’s volleyball team earned a straight-set victory over Lanier on Tuesday, winning 25-20, 25-22, 25-22 in a varsity-only matchup.

The Missy Gators were led by Jordan Grace, who tallied 18 points and two digs. Jada Erwin added 13 points and four digs, while Amari Johnson chipped in 13 points and six digs. Jamiya Stewart turned in a strong all-around performance with 12 points and 12 digs. Teagan Stewart contributed nine points and four digs, and Dallas West posted 10 points and four digs.

Head coach Linda Johnson’s squad improved its rhythm behind steady defense and balanced scoring to sweep the Bulldogs.
