Man Arrested for Felony Domestic Violence:

Shaquille Guise, 23, of Vicksburg was arrested on Monday, April 15, 2024, on  warrant for Aggravated Assault-Domestic Violence and Felony Malicious Mischief.  That charge is the result of an incident on Thursday, April 4, 2024, where he is accused of attacking a female.

Guise appeared in Vicksburg Municpal Court on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, where Judge Angela Carpenter bound him over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $90,000 bond.

Derrian Brown
A second suspect is in custody for Elizabeth Circle Incident

On Monday, April 15, 2024, officers arrested Derrian Brown, 18, of Vicksburg on warrants for Aggravated Assault and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, both charges are the result of an attempted shooting of an individual in Elizabeth Circle on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Brown appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, who set his bond at $150,000 and bound him over to the Warren County Grand Jury.

More arrests are anticipated in this case.

Man Appears in Court For Theft

Deaunte Lewis, 37, of Jackson, Mississippi, was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, on a warrant for Grand Larceny stemming from an incident at Wal-Mart on February 18, 2024, where he pushed a buggy containing $1,541.96 worth of merchandise out the store without paying.

Appearing in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, before Judge Angela Carpenter, Lewis received a $10,000 bond and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.

Commercial Burglary on Halls Ferry Road

At 3:36am on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, officers were dispatched to Morgan’s Chevron, 4306 Halls Ferry Road, in response to a citizen’s complaint that the front door of the store had been shattered. At the scene, officers found that a number of cartons of cigarettes had been taken.  This case is under investigation.

Vehicle Stolen From Ameristar; Recovered

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 8:24am officers responded to Ameristar Casino, 4146 Washington Street, for a reported of a stolen vehicle.  The car, a 2007 Ford Edge, was taken from the parking garage.  The vehicle was located unoccupied at 11:30a.m. onWashington Street and returned to the owner.
