WC baseball team earns two wins at the Battle at the Beach Tournament

Warren Central High School baseball team grabbed two wins in the Battle at the Beach Tournament on Friday after defeating Mobile Christian and Pascagoula. The Vikings ended the day with a 4-1 and a 4-2 victory.
Game 1 against Mobile Christian
WC scored three runs in the opening inning after Maddox Lynch hit a double, which was followed by singles from Tristan Jamison and Caden Cole. After Lynch’s line drive in the fourth, the Vikings went up 4-1, which remained the score until the end of the game.
Lynch(2 RBIs) and Blake Caruthers went 2 for 4 at the plate. Jamison(1 RBI), Cole(1 RBI), Ryan Steed, and Braxton Harley all finished with one hit in the win.
Cole pitched the majority of the win and struck out two batters and Lynch struck out one.
Game two:
In game two, WC defeated Pascagoula 4-2 to end the day.
Lynch went 2 for 3 with three RBIs while Trace Hood went 2 for 4. Cole, Justin Greer, and Caruthers(1 RBI) each had one hit. Beau Bradley pitched most of the game and struck out five batters while Greer came in and struck out three and allowed zero hits.
