Warren Central High School baseball team took a 3-2 loss to Pearl on Tuesday night.

A walk, a wild pitch and a single got the Pirates their runs all in the first inning as they went up 3-0. WC quickly made a pitching change as Conner Watkins stepped in to throw. Between the second and third inning, he struck out four straight batters but WC struggled to hit the ball as they continued to trail by three.

Watkins got things rolling for the Vikings in the fourth inning after a bunt that put two men on base. Lester Martin’s single earned WC their first run which was followed by a hit from Trace Hood where Maddox Lynch got the run but Justin Evans was ruled out at home to put the score at 3-2.
