WC ninth grade teams defeated Germantown on Thursday

Warren Central High School ninth grade boys and girls’ basketball teams defeated Germantown on Thursday.

Lady Vikes:

The Lady Vikes pulled off a final second 30-28 win as Kennedi McKay had a 24 point standout performance. WC was down 28-27 with eight seconds left in the game when McKay hit her fourth 3-pointer of the night to win the game.

Shaniyah Lewis scored four points and Kendra Valentine added two.

WC boys:

The Vikings took down the Mavericks 46-22 on Thursday.

By halftime, WC had a 23-9 lead and Ke’Anthony Wynn eventually led the team to Vicksburg as he led with 14 points. Deric Gibbs hit a 3-pointer and ended the night with nine points while Micah Moore added eight. Nash Morgan put up six points and Jonas Moore scored five while Davon O’Neal added two.

WC will play Sumner Hill on December 7.
