WC picked up two wins at the South Panola Tournament

Warren Central High School softball team picked up two wins at the South Panola Tournament on Saturday.

WC took down North Point 5-0 in game one of the tournament.

Maddy Pant popped things off with a two-run home run that marked her first varsity homer. Tyra Bridges and MK Ferguson(2 run hit) brought in the last three runs from hits in the first inning.

The Lady Vikes went on to win where Makayla Jackson, Pant(2 RBIs), Kamryn Morson, Adalyn Anderson, Ferguson(2 RBIs) and Bridges all had one hit.

In game two, WC crushed Senatobia 14-1 after scoring 12 runs in the the third inning.

The first two runs came from a sacrifice from Pant and a single from Bridges. Morson, Sarah Cameron Fancher and Adalyn Anderson all hit singles in the third that contributed to multiple runs. Jenn Smith and Anderson both smashed doubles to keep the Lady Vikes on top in the win.

Morson(2 RBIs), Anderson(4 RBIs) and Bridges(1 RBI) all had two hits. Smith(1 RBI) and Fancher each had one hit while Pant brought in three RBIs. KeKe McKay and Jackson each had an RBI.

Pant struck out four batters in the win.

WC(12-3) will host Neshoba Central on Saturday.
