The Warren Central High School boys’ basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss in overtime against Callaway, with a final score of 69-68.

The Vikings started the game strong, particularly from the 3-point line. Gaylon Turner Jr. knocked down two 3-pointers, while Roosevelt Harris Jr. contributed one as well. Ronnie Blossom made a couple of layups to help WC take an early 18-9 lead.

In the second quarter, the Vikings displayed impressive defense, allowing only nine points. Harris continued to make crucial shots and draw fouls, while Garrett Orgas-Fisher provided strong inside play. Larry Reynolds Jr.
came off the bench and hit a difficult layup. Just before halftime, Blossom made a significant basket, giving WC a comfortable 36-18 lead.

Despite allowing Callaway to make a comeback in the third quarter, the Vikings held onto a 48-40 lead heading into the fourth quarter. However, in the closing minutes of the game, the Chargers scored eight quick points, managing to tie the game at 60, forcing
an overtime.

WC had a glimmer of hope at the start of overtime, but Callaway ultimately emerged victorious.

Turner led WC with an impressive 30 points, while Fisher ended the night with 10 points. Harris contributed nine points, and Blossom finished with eight. Winters scored six points, while Reynolds added four. Robert Williams
