WCJHS Finished Tuesday Night With a 40-26 Win Over Pearl

Warren Central Junior High School football team pulled off a 40-26 win over Pearl on Tuesday.

By halftime, WCJHS had a 14-8 lead after Cameron Zellous tossed a 52-yard pass and a 10-yard pass to Doss Morgan. Coming out of halftime, the Vikings took over where they found themselves in the end zone on multiple occasions.

Morgan was instrumental in the win as he had a total of four touchdowns, including a 55-yard pick 6. Zellous threw two touchdowns and ran for another while also snatching an interception on defense. Braylen Selvy led the rushing game as he finished with 78 yards on the ground while Jordan Taylor finished with 53 rushing yards on three carries.

Andrew Patten led the defense with eight tackles in the win. 

The Vikings are led by Head Coach Louis Green and they will travel to play Clinton on Tuesday.
