Willie Stamps 1942-2024

A Celebration of Life will be held for Willie Lee Stamps on February 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Waterloo M. B Church, 1342 Alcorn Rd, Hwy 552 West, Lorman, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Center, on February 9, 2024, from 1:00 – 6:00 PM with family present from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.

Willie Stamps 1942-2024

Willie Lee Stamps was born on September 4, 1942, to the late Oscar Stamps, Sr., and the late Julia Jackson Stamps. He departed this earthly life on Monday, January 29, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Stamps, Sr.; mother, Julia Jackson Stamps; wife, Mozella Stamps; four sisters, Georgia Graham, Essie Hicks, Beulah Carter, and Queen Ester Thomas; three brothers, Leon Stamps, Jimmy Stamps, and James Brason; two daughters, Bobbie Stamps and Adrienne Stamps; one son, Melvin Hamlin; and grandson, De’Marcus Claiborne.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Brenda Stamps of Vicksburg, MS, and Rosie Stamps (Darren) of Vicksburg, MS; four sons, Leedell Stamps of Vicksburg, MS, Leroy Stamps of Vicksburg, MS, Mack Stamps of Port Gibson, MS, and Clifton Stamps (Cathryn) of Douglasville, GA; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Jessie Townsend of Gulfport, MS, Mary Spann of Gulfport, MS, and Brybinne Stamps of Gulfport, MS; brother, Oscar Stamps of Gulfport, MS; special friend, Helen Armstrong of Port Gibson, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends
