Lady Flashes Soccer Team Win 1-0 on Senior Night

VICKSBURG, MS.St. Aloysius High School girls’ soccer team celebrated senior night in style defeating Park Place 1-0 on Monday. Samantha Edwards is the Lady Flashes soccer team’s lone senior and was recognized at halftime last night.

Last night was an all-defensive game as the score remained tied at zero at halftime. Goalkeeper Sarah Smith kept Park Place scoreless as she came away with three saves. Frances Farrell scored from a corner kick from Edwards late in the game to put St. Al up 1-0. Taryn Lusby, Reese Lyons, and Lynlee McMillin had an impressive performance on defense as the Lady Flashes soccer team secured the win.

St. Aloysius(4-4-1 and 2-1 in district) will travel to face East Rankin Academy on September 25.
